I think Businesses will embrace them in 2014 and make a bigger effort to identify them.Connecting with them and giving them the tools to help them spread the word about your business will help your business a lot in the end.

Brands should start asking themselves, "How are people using a particular social channel?" and "What makes a channel unique?" Then they will create relevant content based on that insight. Focus and create more content.

Google has 300+ million montly active users. Not only has google become a social popular platform but it's integration with Google search results and Google Authorship makes it a no-brainer in 2014.
